Goalrilla Helps Revive Evansville Public Basketball Court

An Evansville, Indiana, public basketball court recently was revived when local companies, 19nine and Goalrilla Basketball, as well as the nonprofit Project Backboard joined forces to bring it back to life. This public basketball court is located in Fulton Park at the corner of West Franklin Street and North Fulton Avenue. The city’s park department partnered with 19nine and Project Backboard to renovate the park’s basketball court and turn it into a work of art, featuring a mural of the city map.

Goalrilla donated two fixed height basketball hoops to the public court. These fixed height hoops are a slam dunk choice for serious ballers. With their sturdy construction and durable materials, these hoops are built to withstand even the toughest games. The fixed height design ensures a consistent playing experience, allowing players to focus on their skills and improve their game.

The quality craftsmanship of Goalrilla’s fixed height basketball hoops is unmatched. These hoops are designed to last, featuring heavy-duty steel frames and corrosion-resistant coatings. The solid anchor system ensures stability and prevents any wobbling during intense play. With a wide range of backboard sizes and rim options, you can customize your hoop to suit your playing style and preferences. Plus, the sleek and professional design of Goalrilla’s fixed height hoops adds a touch of style to any backyard or driveway. This is one of many basketball courts that Goalrilla has partnered with Project Backboard on to revamp play spaces across the country and spread the love of basketball. Project Backboard is an organization that was founded in the year 2015. Their mission is to renovate public basketball courts and “install larger works of site-specific art on the surface in order to strengthen communities, improve park safety, encourage multi-generational play, and inspire people to think more critically and creatively about their environment.”

The community has rallied around the newly enhanced public basketball court, with local businesses and organizations stepping up to support and sponsor events and tournaments. 19nine is also headquartered in Evansville, Indiana, and is the only lifestyle apparel brand solely focused on telling the great stories in NCAA basketball history through premium merchandise.

During the last week of July, 19nine hosted a “Play with Purpose” campaign, a weeklong celebration of nonprofits that use sports as a platform for positive impact.  They offered free shipping all weekend and a portion of all 19nine.com sales benefits would go towards Play with a Purpose. 19nine hosted a dedication to the recently improved courts on Fulton Ave. Afterward, they ran a K-8th skills camp and had an open run for high schoolers and up, and a local back to school event.
